First Lutheran does not sell, lease or rent any personally identifiable data provided by you to any third parties.
Technical data collected by our Web server about your visit is used to administer our Web site, to detect problems with our equipment, improve and maintain the quality of our Web site, and potentially track traffic patterns on the site. We neither track nor analyze data based on domain name or MIME information.
We may disclose your personally identifiable data, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on First Lutheran,

- Protect and defend the personal safety of users of our Web site(s).
First Lutheran does not use "cookies" and does not store any data or information either temporarily or permanently on your computer. It is possible that cookes will be generated by the templating tool (Joomla) and/or some of the ancillary software used on our site(s), with the only known purpose being to facilitate log in. If you are not a registered user then no cookies should persist on your machine. We will monitor our software in an attempt to ensure the validity of this claim.
First Lutheran uses rudimentary log files built from activity on our Web server and firewall in accordance with generally accepted industry practices. As listed earlier, technical data collected may include a description of the browser you are using to connect to First Lutheran’s site, your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (Internet Service Provider), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks. Data are used to analyze trends, administer the site, and track user’s movement in the aggregate. We cannot currently collect demographic data in our Web server log. IP address and the like are not linked to personally identifiable data.
Effective data security and privacy are primary tasks of First Lutheran's Web administration volunteers. That emphasis is carried along with any use of data collected through our Web site or by email.
We regularly monitor Web and email traffic and volume passing through or generated by our server and network to ensure the equipment is operating as intended, and that only authorized people and organizations are accessing data or generating traffic.
