November is approaching quickly, and turkeys are planning their escape. Yes, First Lutheran is hosting a feast on Thanksgiving Day again this year, and all are welcome!
Volunteers from a coalition of area churches and the community have offered this traditional, sit-down, all-the-fixings Thanksgiving, now in its 11th year. Everything from fresh salad, to warm, juicy turkey, to desert and coffee is lovingly prepared and served by these volunteers at no cost or obligation to anyone wanting a hot meal and friendly smile.
Details on this year's meal will be announced shortly, and the steering committee is well into preparations. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event you may sign up at:

As in the past, we are collecting specific clothing items to distribute on Thanksgiving to those in need. A list of what's needed and where to bring them will be posted in the near future.
Thank you for your help and please keep preparations for the meal, the volunteers, and those partaking of the meal in your prayers, and that the meal will be a blessing to all.
